 Crazy T, an American rapper who is active in the Japanese hip hop scene, hit me up with his new single entitled John Q featuring DJ Shine. Yeah, the same DJ Shine that use to be in Drunken Tiger!  YK collabs again with XFacta with a Chinese New Year song called 红纸币Red Paper Bills. The beat has a cool 80's flava to it.  Mama's Gun is a soul band from the UK that is very popular in Japan. They did a cool English soul cover of a very popular Japanese ballad by Koji Tamaki called 行かないで (Don't Leave Me Alone). The Mama's Gun cover is called Yesterday's News. Cantonese speakers might also recognize this song because it is also there is a very famous Cantonese version sung by Jackie Cheung called 李香蘭 (Fragrant Orchid).  Decipher and Ailee's remix of Catch Me If you Can is out. The remix is features fellow Korean rappers J.Reyez, Dumbfoundead, Flowsik, Chan, Johnnyphlo and Jay Park (formerly from 2PM) on the beat.  It's snowy weather again in Seattle (and Vancouver too, for that matter... brrrrr...cold)! Hip hop duo Blue Scholars just dropped this new joint called Coffee and Snow 2 which is the sequel to their original Coffee and Snow. You can download this single (dirty, clean, & instrumental versions) on bandcamp for $1.  This is a Philippines to New Jersey collaboration. The track is Marquiss' Break Bread featuring Hasan Salaam and Verse One. From Marquiss' album G.R.A.E (Greatest Rap Album Ever). All tracks produced by Chrizo. The album will be out November 25th. Jackie Chain is out with another pseudo pimp rap called This Is Not Enough, featuring Mali Boi & Assasyn. Produced by Block Beataz. Sampled from Tatu's All The Things She Said (remember the Russian lesbian duo from way back?). Jackie Chain's rapping style is always consistent even though he raps about seemingly "wrong things".
