 Edison Chen 陳冠希 has a new music video out in Mandarin Chinese called Mr. Sandman. I'm not saying my Mandarin is any better (okay it sucks!) but Edison's Mandarin sounds really awkward if you ask me! The coolest thing about this music video is the choreography of the JabbaWockeeZ lookalikes. 3 Comments  The BEST rock band that ever came out of Japan, X Japan came to Vancouver last week! They even performed their one most beautiful ballads, Endless Rain. Watching this performance brought tears to my eyes....  MC Hotdog is coming to Vancouver. He will be performing this coming Friday and Saturday (September 24th & 25th) at Fabric nightclub. I'm not a huge MC Hotdog fan but people say that he puts on really wicked shows. This brings to mind that I'm beginning to see more and more Mainland Chinese from all four corners of China in Vancouver nowadays, especially in the university I attend. Some of the girls are pretty darn cute! It's quite fun to sometimes guess in my head which region in China do they come from as the Han Chinese aren't exactly a homogeneous race.  A short introduction of the Backroom Boyz from Surrey, BC, just acting a fool. LMAO. Looks like they will be doing some jackass-themed videos, desi style.  Shanghai-based producer SunBiz hit me up a while back just to introduce himself and his grind. He was originally born in Shanghai and raised in Vancouver, Canada. Sunbiz been producing for over 9 years ever since he graduated from a production and engineering school in Burnaby where he learned about recording, music and production. Since then he has been working with Vancouver's local artists and producers in various musical projects. Just a few years ago Sunbiz relocated back in Shanghai to explore the music scene over there. Sunbiz sent in 3 songs that he produced: Humble in the Jungle (ft. Stace Prints), No Chinese (ft. Cha Cha), Main Squeeze (ft. Stagga Dagga). They are all completely different sounding songs: the first one is a lyrical hip hop song with an early 90's vibe, the second song is a slow ballad with a haunting melody and the third song is a reggae track with one rapping verse. Included are the press releases for each song.  New track from D-City featuring Jay Kin, Paul Skratch and Donna B called Home, putting it down for Vancouver, BC! Really dope track produced by Ess (from D-City). The instrumental kinda reminds me of the BGM you would hear from shoot 'em up side scrollers. Dope!  This is the dance performance that EVERYONE IS TALKING ABOUT! Alex Wong and Twitch's hip hop dance to Lil Jon's Outta Your Mind in the reality-TV dance show So You Think You Can Dance. WOW!!! What a crazy dance! The choreography looks hella difficult but Alex and Twitch both executed the dance FLAWLESSLY. What's even more crazy is that Alex is actually a classically trained ballet dancer, and so hip hop is actually way out of his comfort zone. But watching the performance, you couldn't tell.
