23 year-old Asian-American porn star Evelyn Lin, a self-proclaimed lover of animals, auctioned off a dinner date with her on eBay last month to help out one of her favourite charities: the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.  The auction, which ended on July 19th at 8:00pm PDT managed to rack up 4055 dollars!  Wow!  I bet the person who paid that full amount  was hoping for abalone on the menu...ha ha!  A huge 70% of the proceeds went to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.  Well hey, I got to give kudos to Evelyn Lin for raising a ton of money for the charity with so little effort and in such a short while.  This is actually the second time Evelyn did the dinner date auction.  The first time she auctioned a dinner date with her, the auction racked up $1,650! 

And if you're thinking what everyone's thinking, $4055?! Who in the right mind has that kind of money to blow just on dinner?  What does it come with?  Expensive wine?  Exotic dessert?  Well.... there were A LOT of stipulations that she wrote in her eBay auction such as:

1. taking photos were allowed but the date is not a photo-shoot,
   
2. if the winner of the auction wants alcohol, it's extra
   
3. a possible bodyguard within the vicinity
   
4. no "inappropriate or lewd conduct and behavior" or "you will be escorted from restaurant"
   

Those are quite heavy restrictions.  But you know what -- at the end of the day -- there's nothing like a date with an Asian-American porn star that costs you $4055 USD that ends with a nice, warm handshake and a hug goodbye (and just even maybe a peck on the cheek).  Think instead about how many animals you saved! ;)
